Danny Higginbotham set to represent Gibraltar?

Former Premier League veteran Danny Higginbotham could potentially represent Gibraltar at the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Higginbotham, who currently plays for Skrill Premier side Chester FC, was approached by national manager Allen Bula in a tweet asking to talk ‘privately’ about the possibility.

Higginbotham, who according to some reports is Allen Bula’s nephew, has made over 300 appearances for the likes of Stoke City, Manchester United, Derby and Southampton, and although maybe a long-shot to play for Gibraltar, could add priceless experience to a Gibraltar team with little in the way of professional experience.

The 34 year old is reportedly interested in the idea, and could be set to have talks in the upcoming days on the possibility of playing for Gibraltar.
