Liam Walker has told Portsmouth that he won’t be returning to the League Two team, and will sign for an as yet unnamed Greek team, according to the Portsmouth news.
Walker, who earned a deal after impressing for Gibraltar in a friendly vs Portsmouth last July, played 28 times in a stop-start season, scoring twice.
Walker, who played for a Gibraltar XI in the 3-1 loss against Hibernian last week, looks set for a move to Greece, where the Mediterranean culture may be more suited to him, and the style of football will in all honesty be better than that of the Football League.
Best of luck to Liam in whatever team he has chosen to sign with. More on the chosen club should be announced in the coming days.
