Gibraltar XI to host Hibernian in July

National manager Allen Bula announced this morning, via his personal Twitter account, that a Gibraltar XI will face off against Scottish Premier League side Hibernian FC on 3rd July.

The match, which is the second of the summer, was announced just before 8am this morning by Bula on Twitter.  The match, a week before the Charlton match at the Victoria, provides another strong test for Gibraltar’s best.

Hibernian, who finished 7th in the 2012-13 SPL, qualified for the 2013-14 Europa League as a result of reaching the Scottish Cup final, where they lost to SPL champions Celtic.  This friendly will be used as preparation for their Europa League campaign, which is set to start on 18th July.

Ticket prices and match kick off time should be confirmed in due course.

  1. Any news about tickets yet? Anyone I can email for info? I don’t really want to travel all the way from Nerja on speculation

  2. On checking, I’ve noticed the email I sent was actually to a Victoria Stadium address, so I’ll try again with the Gibraltar FA address you’ve given….Thanks again

  3. Hi again. I received a reply from Richard Manning yesterday, to the effect that he’ll have ticket info by Tuesday.

    Thanks for your help
