In a tight game last night at the Victoria Stadium, a last minute goal secured Cadiz B a 1-0 victory over Gibraltar.
The game was notable for a number of wasted opportunities at both ends, and a whole host of dodgy officiating from the officials involved, largely in favour of Gib, although at times they also were on the wrong end of bad decisions.
The late goal came as a result of pressure from San Roque, who forced a corner. From said corner, the ball was eventually slotted in to disappoint the local crowd, who turned out in decent numbers to support the national team.
Cadiz will go on to face the winner of Marbella vs San Roque, who play tonight, whilst Gib will face the loser for 3rd place. Both games are on Sunday night.
In the earlier game, Vitoria Guimaraes U16’s hammered Malaga U16’s 5-1 to advance to Saturday’s final vs Gibraltar U16’s. Malaga face San Roque U16’s tonight for 3rd place.
