6 local aspiring coaches passed their FA Level 2 coaching course recently, at the Victoria Stadium.
Prizan Fa, Aaron Asquez, Will Marsh, Terence Jolley, Juan Luis Duarte (might also be a senior league player, not sure on this) and David Ochello all passed the course, under the tutelage of Matt Tallon, their FA Tutor.
They were assessed by Eddie McCluskey, who as far as I am aware is manager of Middlesex Wanderers Association Football Club in England. These results are good news, as the more qualified coaches that we have on these shores, the better quality players that Gibraltar could produce, for both local and overseas teams, as has been noted recently, with some of our best youngsters currently at youth teams in Britain and Spain.
Hopefully this is just the first batch of successful candidates in years to come, and the quality of football on the Rock gets a much-needed boost.
